#1- Interviews: Getting the job
We’re here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here?
What is the most important question in a job interview? It's probably not what you think...
Everyone hates talking about their weaknesses? Unfortunately, if you don't know how to talk about your weaknesses, that is a weakness.
On the other hand, everyone loves talking about how amazing they are. But, it's tricky. If you are confident, you can seem arrogant. If you are not confident enough, that can be a weakness.
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would you say? What about your friends and collegues?
If you can't answer this question, you are going to have a difficult interview experience.
What does your ideal work situation look like? This question gives the interviewer a lot of information, and also is a good excercise to think about what you are really looking for in a job.
Just a quick tip. "No" is not a good answer to this question. This is your chance to follow up and engage.
Annemarie is the director of Speak Confident English, a highly qualified English teacher, and simply a wonderful person to talk with. In this episode, you will learn:

  • Free resources for Confident Job Interviews
  • How to handle stressful situations
  • The difference between preparation and research
  • The importance of physically practicing for interviews
  • Why you should remember to breathe when you are anxious
#2- Work
Work is different from a job. Work is more important, it gives you purpose and meaning.
Are you working too much? The answer is probably yes. Some companies are starting to question the traditional 40-hour work-week.
#2- Business Podcasts and Resources
A lack of resources is not the problem. When it comes to business English, execution is crucial.
